Rooted in the tribal heartland of Odisha and now active across India, we connect high-quality agro commodities from smallholder farmers, SHGs, and FPOs to responsible buyers across the country.

Witnessing the struggles of farmers in Mayurbhanj, we launched with the aim to bring transparency, trust, and dignity to agri-sourcing. What started as a grassroots initiative has evolved into a pan-India rural trading model.

Founding Team

Chinmay Kumar Das

Director

Passionate about driving change and creating sustainable impact. He is a seasoned professional with a diverse educational background, including a Biotechnology degree from Bangalore University, an MBA from NMIMS Mumbai, and an LLB from Utkal University Odisha. He has honed his skills through roles at esteemed organizations like Biocon, IIPM, KIIT University, KL University, and GIET. With over 8 years of experience as a project leader and administrator in the Education sector, he excelsl in strategic marketing and brand building. In 2017, he founded M/S C A Puffed Rice Mill, launching Murmuren as the brand for Mayurbhanj Mudhi (Puffed Rice). As a social entrepreneur dedicated to local brand creation, women’s employability, and sustainability, he has made a significant impact. In 2022, he launched Mayurbhanj Grand Pvt. Ltd. (MGPL), focusing on empowering women and promoting locally made products. MGPL aims to showcase district-level products nationally and internationally.

Director

Anushree Rai is a skilled gender and equity policy professional and social impact entrepreneur with over seven years of experience across multisectoral development, government collaborations, and community empowerment initiatives. Currently, she is spearheading a large-scale program that empowers rural women in India through economic opportunity development, and local livelihood enhancement. Anushree holds a Master’s in International Development from Sciences Po, Paris, and has completed specialized fellowships in women’s leadership and peacebuilding. She has previously worked as a Senior Consultant to the Government of Odisha, focusing on tribal policy design and capacity-building. Her professional background includes key roles with international organizations like UNESCO and UNICEF, contributing to education policy innovation and strategic monitoring. Anushree’s strengths in policy formulation, stakeholder management, and team leadership have positioned her as a driver of impactful, community-focused change.

Bichitrananda Sahoo is a seasoned agri-commodity professional with over 18 years of experience in sales, procurement, and operations. A commerce graduate, he has worked with leading organizations in the agri-value chain including National Commodity Management Services, Access Development Services, Origo Commodities, Farmart, Ayekart, and DeHaat.
Throughout his career, Bichitrananda has built expertise in managing end-to-end agri-trade operations—from farmer engagement and warehousing to market linkages and last-mile delivery. His deep understanding of rural markets, strong operational skills, and relationship-driven approach make him a key contributor to scalable, efficient, and inclusive agri-business models.

He has worked across various stages of the agri-supply chain, with a focus on rural sourcing, market linkages, and value chain development. His expertise lies in connecting farmers and producer groups with reliable markets, promoting transparency, and supporting sustainable agri-trade practices.
